I have no idea who these guys are…I cant even remember what brought me to this video. I should probably read this:

What I do know is this song is amazing. Organic sounding. Makes me want to chew straw.

Daniel Gray of Memoryhouse is set to release a beautiful record of solo material under the monicker MPSO with the help of his musically talented family - he recorded the songs in his recording engineer dad’s studio, and had his mom, Wendy Rose, who happens to be a violinist for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, drop in violin parts.
Wisdom Teeth LP will be on February 14th. The first 100 downloads will be free of charge, and a limited run of cassette tapes will be available as well. Give it a preview listen right here, and don’t miss another stand-out track “Let Go” right here.
We posted the audio recently, so this is a bit unfair. But this is more about the video, which is a wonderful animation taken from deviantArtist called Loish. A college project, it’s the perfect foil for this lilting song..
We can’t keep a blog of our favourite songs and influences without a nod to some obvious, well-known past songs. Band of Horses aren’t new to anyone, but that doesnt mean they aren’t sublime.
Why isn’t this band bigger? Sure it’s kind of Fleet Foxes-like, but they occasionally create their own soaring niche, like on this song. Check out Moondoggies.
Another one about whom very little is known, apart from a superb name. Unfairly few plays, but is he really trying to get exposure? A wonderful piano-led ballad is the best of the sprinkling of songs that is available.
We have to thank Rawkblog for this discovery…a while ago they put up a cover by an unknown-to-us Alessi’s Ark. I just found it and am hooked…
When in Liverpool, a favourite pasttime of mine was wandering round the city listening to We Walked in Song and Birds of my Neighbourhood by the innocence mission. The haunting music seemed strangely apt for that city..
Hardly Art is an offshoot label of Sub Pop, which we like and will probably harass in the future. Among our favourite bands signed to hardly art are Moondoggies (more on them later) and this band, Seapony. Listen, enjoy and mellow :P
